Dana Ball
Dana Ball is a seasoned Strategic Advisor at B4 Symptoms, where he provides expert guidance on strategic planning, program development, and organizational operations. His extensive background as an executive in healthcare and medical research organizations positions him as an asset in advancing B4 Symptoms’ mission to improve early disease detection, patient care and their health outcomes.
Dana founded Optimal Impact Advisors, LLC in 2023 to continue his mission-focused work through advisory and consulting services after serving as a patient advocate and nonprofit leader for more than 30 years; driving innovative initiatives, creating collaborations and ensuring impact.
Previously, Dana served as Executive Director of the Three Lakes Foundation Trust. During his tenure, Dana focused the organization on raising awareness of Pulmonary Fibrosis (PF), improving diagnosis and accelerating therapies through a collaborative ecosystem focused on physician, patient and critical stakeholder needs.
Prior to joining Three Lakes, Dana co-founded and led the Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) Exchange, a patient-centered organization dedicated to advancing our understanding of T1D, patient outcomes and supporting the greater clinical and scientific community’s resource needs for discovery, development and delivery of new solutions. In just five years, he established T1D Exchange as a globally recognized authority in the T1D community; supporting a wide range research initiatives, studies and commercial development successes.
Dana’s experience also includes leadership roles at The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust and The Iacocca Foundation, where he led strategic planning, organization development, grantmaking, and venture philanthropy initiatives to advance each organization’s mission to improve the lives of people affected by T1D.
