Dr. Lee Gazourian has devoted his career to advancing population health through his expertise in quantitative imaging and AI technology, as both a researcher and clinician. His research and numerous publications emphasize the importance of incidental findings on chest imaging, such as interstitial lung abnormalities, emphysema, and coronary artery calcification. These findings provide unique opportunities for early patient identification, or “Opportunistic Screening,” focusing on lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, cardiovascular disease, and emphysema.
As the Director of the Lung Health Program at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center in Burlington, MA, Dr. Gazourian has translated his research into practical clinical practice, showcasing the value of early detection and intervention.
